About Project NUFASHWA YAFASHA

After Genocide of 1994 and other mass atrocities occurred in Rwanda, a number of children found themselves orphans. Some, through 9 years basic education, had chance to go to school. Even though the government has provided a free basic education, still kids are dropping out school due to lack of school stuffs like notebooks, pens, uniform and small shoes to comply with the government policy of wearing shoes for all students.
( The vulnerable kids and I)

As our country still live under poverty line, it’s not easy for vulnerable families to afford all those school requirements. This is the lifestyle I, too, witnessed many years ago till German supporters intervened. The term N’UFASHWA YAFASHA means that even you have some people support you for your daily life; you can also change the world with your hand of helping others.  So, I think I can do something for those kids despite limited resources. With collaborating with my acquaintances, school and work mates, I found a small foundation named “N’UFASHWA YAFASHA” to enable those children have at least basic education.

Nonetheless, with my resources, I was able to help only two kids. I helped this small number not because there are not a big number of the in such conditions but because of my financial boundaries.
