The organization claims to have an office in the Ngarama sector , Gatsibo District , Eastern Province and increase the number of project beneficiaries to the number of children 50 vulnerable children.

NUFASHWA YAFASHA FOUNDATION ( NYF ) was born January 14, 2014 with the idea of its Legal Representative , Jean Paul BUJYACYERA . After seeing that the Ngarama sector (where i was born and raised ) , there are many poor families with children living in adverse conditions.

The term NUFASHWA YAFASHA means that even if you have some people who support you in your daily life, you can also change the world with your hand to help others. So we think we can do something for these children, despite limited resources. By working with friends of mine, i  started a small foundation called “NUFASHWA YAFASHA FOUNDATION” (NYF acronym) to enable these children to have at least a basic education and access recreation.

The main activities of the organization

From the beginning of the organization's activities, NUFASHWA YAFASHA Foundation has done and plans to do the following activities:

·       Helping children regarding school supplies (uniforms, notebooks, pens, shoes, etc.)

·       Ensure self - sustainability of the welfare of children by providing small livestock children (rabbits, chickens, goats, sheep, etc.)

·       Initiate leisure activities to group children under share experiences and exchange ideas,

·       Provide health insurance for vulnerable children,

·       Search micro- credit to poor families to help them out of poverty,

·       Helping poor families have small vegetable gardens at home as part of combat malnutrition,

Basing workshops containing training materials for beneficiaries

To help the surrounding community in general, the organization NYF, expects to have a small library.

Activity One: Give children small livestock and create small vegetable gardens

As in the first phase of the project, 25 new children will receive rabbits. To move forward , it plans to fly to 50 beneficiary children , chickens and goats as part of the fight against malnutrition (with eggs and goat milk ) and have manure for small gardens vegetable gardens that will create at least 25 families of the beneficiary children . The organization wants to focus on AC because most of beneficiary children had signs of diseases caused by malnutrition in the first phase of the project. Here, there will also be the time to show them how they can build small enclosures of these small cattle to avoid spending the night with these pets in the house because it can still cause other diseases.

Activity Two: Ensure children's health

Children from very poor families, often have diseases caused by the personal hygiene but also lacked hygiene of their homes. With this project we will continue with the activities of each month, which are based on the hygiene of beneficiary children through better help them develop physically. These charitable activities include giving children all the mattresses and hygiene materials that can help during a month.

Activity Three: Giving health insurance to the beneficiary children ( Mutuelle de Santé)

The Year of Health Mutual begins in July of each year. To say that the 2015 insurance is going to be at an end. We need another contribution for the year 2016. This insurance health helps children beneficiaries to seek treatment in time and easily when they get sick. This helps them quickly return to school and continue their farming activities.

Activity Four : Create a small library

To better develop a community, we must also look for ways to change vise versa behavior problems that prevent it from developing. In this project, the organization plans to create a small library that will serve as :

- Course Review Place for children
- House literacy for youth and adults who can not read or write ,
- Meeting place for charitable activities,
- Meeting place for some small formations (fight against drugs, adolescent reproductive health, family planning, the fight against all kinds of violence , caring for children , the hygiene culture, etc.)
- Place to view information on different television stations and educational films for the community,
- The exchange of ideas and discussion Place for behavior change and the community in general ,
- Place of passage of public messages.

The culture of debate

Participatory methods for discussion and games used are applicable in many situations. These methods enable children and young people to understand that they have the right to speak and what they say carries weight , which may influence the ideas , behaviors and even decisions .

The empathy and tolerance Capacity

Watching a movie, viewers often have the opportunity to identify with a weak protagonist in difficulties or discriminated. During the course of the film, they learn to understand how to act and think of the protagonist. Gradually they manage to put in its place. Thus, viewers can identify their own problems and learn to better understand the problems of others. This development is reinforced by the lively discussions before and after the film, that allow deepening.

Outcome: Participants will be able to judge the concrete behavior of a person rather than amalgam. They will be able to put themselves in the place of others, allowing them to intervene on behalf of children and vulnerable families.
